Our crisps are made from the delicious Naturalo potatoes grown on our family farm in the rich Fenland soils of Cambridgeshire. Here in the Fenlands we have very rich, black, peaty soil which was previously flooded for thousands of years, which give our delicious Naturalo potatoes their rich taste!
We wash, grade and hand cook the crisps here on the farm to ensure we can maintain a high level of expertise and care, and supply the Nation with the Natural British Crunch.
Corkers are a young, exciting, and innovative brand and like to set ourselves tasks to increase our brand awareness. Ready for our next challenge in September 2013 Corkers achieved the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest bag of crisps! It measured 760 cm x 380 cm, holding a massive 1.141 tonne of crisps!
To accompany this we held a family funfair day where we revealed the gigantic bag to the public.
Corkers Crisps – Out of this world. With the knowledge and help from Cambridge University we were able to send a packet of our delicious Sea Salt flavour over 100,000 feet into the atmosphere!
At Corkers we believe in supporting charities with their fund raising activities. This can be in the form of donating products for auctions and raffles or donating proceeds from events we are exhibiting at. We have had bake-off events in the office for MacMillan and Children in Need and one of our sales team was even arrested and taken away in handcuffs by the local police for a "Jail & Bail" event for the Addenbrookes Hospital Charitable Trust (ACT), only being released once a certain amount was raised.
Since our launch we have also supported the Liam Fairhurst Foundation with their invaluable work with young people and families with illnesses and disabilities. Members of the Corkers team have taken part in a 600 mile bike ride (pictured), a sky dive and the Brighton Marathon to help support the charity. One of our Directors also took part in a bike ride across India with Callum Fairhurst as part of his Ride the World fund raising trip. We also donated 2p per bag from our sales and contributed money that was raised at our Biggest Bag event.
We have supported the Liam Fairhurst Foundation since the launch of our brand in 2011. It is a local charity which supports young people and families with illnesses and disabilities.
